B and S and Philly, PA

Today I started watching two shows that it seems like I was the last one to start watching. First off Gossip Girl. Truthfully after watching the pilot I was not too impressed with this one. I don't think I have ever watched a show where I hated so many characters right off the bat. Are rich people really this predictable and one dimensional? I speak of the parents mostly. Something as archaic as suggesting your son stick it out with his girlfriend because he wants to do deals with her father? That still goes on? Anyway it basically seems like a show about rich kids who get wasted and laid all the time and their problems. Maybe I'm just jealous. I did however like the "poor" kids in this one. In fact if it weren't for them I probably would have stopped watching the show. It was only the pilot so I'll give it another shot since everyone I know seems to be into this show at the moment.

Another show I finally started watching today was It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. This sitcom is rude, crude, and actually quite funny. I don't know what's taken me so long to see this show. I will be continuing to watch this one for sure.I would like to point out that what got me started on the show was an episode I saw last night at SideBar. I guess someone had the DVDs going.
If you are interested in starting Philly you can watch all of the episodes online at Hulu.com. As for Gossip Girl the first season is on DVD so you can rent it or buy it.
